osition Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chiropractor to join our team at a Non-Opioid Pain Clinic. In this role, you will primarily focus on non-invasive therapies and modalities aimed at managing chronic pain without the use of opioids. While chiropractic adjustments may be performed occasionally, the main responsibilities will involve running therapies such as laser therapy, spinal decompression, electrotherapy (e-stim), and other pain management modalities. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing X-rays and analyzing X-ray images to aid in diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that support our patients’ long-term health and well-being. Key Responsibilities: 1. Administer Therapeutic Modalities: Laser Therapy: Administer low-level laser therapy (LLLT) to reduce inflammation, promote tissue healing, and relieve pain. Spinal Decompression: Operate spinal decompression equipment to treat conditions like herniated discs, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease by relieving pressure on spinal nerves. Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim): Apply e-stim therapy for pain relief, muscle re-education, and improving blood flow. Other Modalities: Implement additional therapies as needed, including but not limited to, ultrasound therapy, cryotherapy, heat therapy, and TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation). 2. Perform and Analyze X-Rays: X-ray Imaging: Perform X-ray procedures to assist in diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions and creating treatment plans. Positioning & Safety: Properly position patients for X-ray imaging, ensuring patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure in line with state and federal regulations. Analyze X-rays: Interpret X-ray images to identify conditions such as fractures, degenerative disc disease, spinal misalignments, and soft tissue injuries. Collaborate on Diagnosis: Work with radiologists, medical doctors, or specialists to review and interpret complex X-ray findings and formulate comprehensive treatment strategies. 3. Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct initial consultations and assessments of patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment using non-opioid modalities. Develop and customize individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and medical history. Regularly monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as needed for maximum effectiveness. Provide education to patients on their pain conditions, treatment options, and how to incorporate lifestyle changes to improve outcomes (e.g., posture, ergonomic adjustments, exercise, etc.). 4. Occasional Chiropractic Adjustments: Perform chiropractic adjustments as necessary, particularly for musculoskeletal issues or when deemed appropriate as part of the overall treatment plan. Provide hands-on care in a patient-centered manner, ensuring comfort and safety during all procedures. 5. Documentation & Record Keeping: Accurately document patient histories, treatment plans, X-ray findings, and progress notes in the clinic’s electronic health record (EHR) system. Ensure that patient records comply with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Track patient outcomes and report results to the medical director or referring physician as needed. 6. Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with other providers, such as pain management specialists, physical therapists, nurses, and medical assistants, to ensure a holistic approach to pain management. Collaborate with radiologists, medical doctors, and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret X-ray results, ensuring optimal care for patients. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, update treatment protocols, and review patient outcomes. 7. Patient Education & Advocacy: Educate patients about non-opioid pain management options and the benefits of various therapies, helping them make informed decisions about their care. Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, including stress management, exercise, and diet, to support pain relief and overall well-being. 8. Maintain Equipment & Clinic Cleanliness: Ensure that all therapy equipment, such as laser machines, decompression tables, electrotherapy units, and X-ray machines, are properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized. Keep therapy areas and treatment rooms clean, organized, and safe for both patients and staff. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited chiropractic school. Licensure: Active and valid chiropractic license in the state of Georgia. Certification in X-ray procedures or compliance with state regulations to perform and interpret X-rays. Certifications/Training: Certification in laser therapy, spinal decompression, and electrotherapy (if applicable). Experience with non-opioid pain management modalities is preferred, but training can be provided. CPR and First Aid certification. Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a chiropractic setting, with experience in modalities such as laser therapy, decompression, or electrotherapy preferred. Experience performing and interpreting X-rays is highly preferred. Experience working in a multidisciplinary pain clinic or with non-opioid treatments is a plus. Skills: Strong manual therapy skills and knowledge of various pain management modalities. Proficiency in performing and interpreting X-rays for musculoskeletal and spinal conditions. Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries. Excellent communication skills with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals. Detail-oriented and proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation. Some physical exertion may be required for lifting or assisting with patient positioning during certain therapies. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, depending on clinic protocols.
