Full job description Chiropractor – Reinvent Chiropractic at Sports Centre Physiotherapy Location: Charlottetown, PEI Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview Sports Centre Physiotherapy is a leading clinic in PEI with a strong focus on sports rehabilitation and physically active clientele. Our 3,000-square-foot facility has been a trusted name in the community for over 30 years. Due to high demand, we are excited to reintroduce chiropractic services to our clinic and are looking for a chiropractor who is eager to rebuild and redefine our chiropractic program from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for a chiropractor who is passionate about evidence-based care and is motivated to shape the future of chiropractic treatment at Sports Centre Physiotherapy. You will be joining a dynamic team of physiotherapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and physiotherapy assistants, all working collaboratively to provide top-tier patient care. Our clinic is the official physiotherapy provider for the Holland College Hurricane Athletic program and provides coverage for sports teams across PEI. Chiropractors joining our team will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including athletes, weekend warriors, and the general public. At Sports Centre Physiotherapy, our chiropractors benefit from a unique collaboration with our team of kinesiologists, who provide hands-on coaching for prescribed exercises. This means you can focus on assessments, manual therapy, and treatment planning while our kinesiologists ensure proper form, monitor for difficulty, and ensure there is no pain. With this model, you can see up to three patients per hour while still ensuring that each patient receives nearly an hour of guided rehabilitation—far beyond the typical 20–30 minutes of one-on-one clinician time. We feel this leads to better outcomes and a more efficient workflow. Services We Offer In addition to general physiotherapy and rehabilitation, our clinic offers: Athletic Rehabilitation Strength & Conditioning Pediatric Physiotherapy Vestibular Treatments Concussion Management (we are a CCMI-certified clinic) Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Orthotics & Knee Bracing Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage Therapy (coming in Summer 2025) By bringing chiropractic care back to Sports Centre Physiotherapy, you will play a key role in integrating chiropractic treatments into our multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough chiropractic assessments to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based chiropractic techniques. Provide hands-on adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitative exercises. Educate patients on posture, ergonomics, injury prevention, and overall wellness. Collaborate with physiotherapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, kinesiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in chiropractic care. Requirements Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice chiropractic care in PEI. Strong clinical skills and a patient-centred approach to care. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Passionate about building and expanding a chiropractic program within a sports-focused physiotherapy clinic. Compensation & Benefits $44 per hour or a fee-for-service rate for 6 months, whichever is greater. After 6 months, compensation converts to fee-for-service only. Expected gross compensation for regular caseload (12 – 15 patients per day) is between $85,000 to $95,000. This scenario involves working with shared kinesiologists. With a dedicated kinesiologist or assistant, it is possible to have an advanced caseload of 15 – 20 patients per day and earn up to $105,000 per year. An advanced caseload is optional and treatment quality must remain high; it is not for everyone. A new practitioner must gain at least 6 months of experience before taking on an advanced caseload. $5,000 sign-on bonus (repayable to Sports Centre Physiotherapy if employment lasts less than 2 years). 3 weeks of paid vacation per year. Hours & Work Location 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling between 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Fridays.
